2014 Walk & Run

Join or cheer on Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) employees, residents and family members at the 5th Annual PHS Benevolence Fund Walk & Run. For a second year, Waverly Gardens in North Oaks, MN, will host the event where participants complete a 5K walk, run or roll. Last year, over $10,000 was raised to support the benevolence needs of residents across Presbyterian Homes.

Kayla Wagner, Household Coordinator at Maranatha in Brooklyn Center, MN, shares, “Participating in the Benevolence Fund Walk & Run gives staff and families of Presbyterian Homes the chance to be a little competitive, have a lot of fun and get healthy while raising money for a great cause.”

Help PHS residents remain in their home communties

No one plans to run out of money, but life happens and residents can experience financial hardship due to circumstances such as prolonged illness, the loss of a spouse, diminished retirement funds, and an up-and-down economy. When faced with financial challenges, the Benevolence Fund helps residents to bridge gaps between their income and expenses. PHS’ intention, when possible, is to help residents stay within their home communities.

“I challenge you, whether it is your first 5K race or your twentieth, to get out, get moving and join us to support the PHS Benevolence Fund,” says Kayla.
