Adult Day Program

Boutwells Landing Adult Day Program is dedicated to providing activity in a safe and structured environment for its participants, helping them to stay in their homes and communities by offering services that monitor and provide for their physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs.

Those attending receive assistance with health care and make new friends. In addition, respite is provided allowing you to go to school or work, run errands, or simply to relax for a while.

"Caring for a loved one at home can be rewarding. However, it is also important for you as the caregiver to take care of yourself and for the one you care for to benefit from socializing with others."  -Family Member of Participant

A Day in the Life

A typical day includes a variety of opportunities to increase socialization and/or companionship. A daily exercise program is included, as are nutritional meals and snacks. Sing-a-longs, a variety of table and card games, story time with the children from nearby Warm World, “Happy Paws” animal visits, and movies and popcorn in the Boutwells Landing Theater are all popular activities enjoyed by the participants. In addition, the staff at the Adult Day Center provides assistance with personal cares offering services for showers, hair care wash and set, foot care, and blood pressure readings.
