Pastor Brad Moe serves at Orchard Path in Apple Valley, MN. Listen in as he shares how Campus Pastors support residents, how he came to serve at Presbyterian Homes, and why he loves his job.
In a recent letter to residents, Pastor Moe wrote:
Your spirit never grows old. At Presbyterian Homes & Services, we care for the whole person — body, soul, and spirit. As Campus Pastor at Orchard Path, I seek to nurture the spiritual needs of the residents. Seniors face unique issues and I am committed to coming along side our residents through compassionate care, spiritual leadership and relevant, life-enriching worship experiences.
My ministry is offered with a non-denominational spirit. I cultivate a welcoming environment by emphasizing our common love for God. Through our spiritual care ministry and individual relationships, I have been blessed by the life stories and journeys that our residents share. I have been with families as they take the final journey with their loved ones as they pass to be with Jesus. Many are amazed at the peace that comes over them as their loved one passes from this life to the next.
Living with Jesus in your life is what helps each of us get up for whatever the new day brings. True joy knows Jesus is with us every moment of the day. Even though some worry that they will forget Jesus, I reassure them that Jesus will never leave or forget them.
It is truly a blessing to serve the community and to share the story of Jesus.
