Ready & Engaged to Bring Hope

Sarah Olsen has blessed Presbyterian Homes & Services with six years of service. As an Optage Hospice Social Worker, Sarah demonstrates the PHS value of “Ready & Engaged People” by helping older adults and their families navigate through the challenges presented by the end stages of life.

Sarah says, “For me, it's about hope. The hope that is reflected through my client's stories. The hope that our team provides in helping clients live fully and die well. And the eternal hope we can have through knowing Jesus. Being able to bring each of these areas together brings life to my work!”

So, what do Sarah’s coworkers have to say about her? Here are some of the kind words from those who nominated her for the Ready & Engaged People CROSS award at PHS:

“Sarah’s radiant joy permeates all that she does.  She ALWAYS has a smile on her face and I can only imagine how reassuring that is to the families and clients.”

“Sarah creates an environment in which people feel heard, supported, encouraged and at peace.”

“As a supervisor and mentor, Sarah sees "equipping the saints" to be her specific ministry, and it shows.  Our hospice would not be the same without her amazing contribution.”

“Sarah Olsen brings out the best in those around her and represents PHS in all she does.”
