Make your Mark: Edinah Nyambati is a ready and engaged team member

The mission of Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS), “to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults,” is fulfilled when the actions of our employees demonstrate our stated values. In doing so, they “make their mark” upon those we serve. In our continuing series, “Make your Mark,” we introduce you to PHS employees who are living out these values.

Today we introduce you to Edinah Nyambati, Resident Assistant at Founders Ridge, in Bloomington, Minnesota. Edinah demonstrates the PHS value of “Ready and Engaged People” by providing compassionate, personalized care to residents every day.

Edinah has served at Founders Ridge for the past 5 years. She is married and a working mother of two school-age children. She says, “It’s my passion working at Founder Ridge, it’s from my heart taking care of [older adult] residents and their families. I find it meaningful spending time with residents doing sing along and dancing activities with the residents at the Arbor.”

Her co-workers have recognized how she is making her mark. Joy Fransen, Founders Ridge Clinical Administrator, had this to say: “Edinah truly demonstrates what a great PHS employee should be: collaborating with her team, always keeping positive energy and being an excellent advocate for the residents. She always has a smile on her face even in challenging and busy days. Thank you Edinah for sharing your talent at Founders Ridge we are so blessed to have you!”

As expressed by these words, Edinah clearly lives out the pledge of being ready and engaged to “create an environment of teamwork.”  Thank you to Edinah and all the PHS employees who understand their service as Christian Ministry and fulfill their calling and the PHS mission every day.
