After this long COVID year of masks, social distancing, and visitor restrictions, we’re thrilled to be celebrating a Liberty Dream at Presbyterian Homes & Services.
This is Bob's Liberty Dream made possible by the team at Valley Ridge in Burnsville, MN.
Robert “Bob” Burton is a huge sports fan – he especially loves baseball. In fact, Bob even tried out for the professional team in Pittsburgh back in the 1940s along with two of his buddies. Bob didn’t make the cut and shared, “I was too slow.” Still hoping to feed his love of the game, Bob later turned his dreams to becoming a sports announcer. Unfortunately, Bob was told his "thick East Coast accent" was going to make that a challenging career choice. That was until the team at Valley Ridge "pitched" an idea to the Minnesota Twins (Bob's favorite team).
The result was a "home run" kind of day. Take a look:
Special thanks to Bob’s family for attending this special event, the Minnesota Twins (and TC Bear, of course) for their generous support, and the Valley Ridge employees and volunteers who helped make Bob’s Liberty Dream come true:

Liberty Dreams help us inspire those we serve to shift beyond their daily routines to the dreams they have for better living. Employees are continually inspired by the life stories of each individual we are honored to serve. Our staff consider it time well-spent to truly get to know residents and Liberty Dreams are the result of conversations about what ignites their passion and purpose in life. Liberty Dreams are part of Liberty Personally Designed Living™ at Presbyterian Homes & Services.
