2021 CROSS Award for Operational Integrity

Jenny Lehocky of Dickson HollowCongratulations to our 2021 CROSS Award recipients at Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS)! In its third year, the CROSS Awards are presented to five PHS employees nominated by coworkers, residents or friends for demonstrating our CROSS values.

Today we celebrate our CROSS Award recipient for Operational Integrity, Jenny Lehocky! After starting at Kirkland Crossings 20 years ago, she now serves as life enrichment director at Dickson Hollow in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Jenny received an outpouring of nominations from both residents and staff at Dickson Hollow — in fact, across PHS communities in Southeastern WI.
Many noted how difficult it was to select just one PHS Value. “Jenny truly embodies them all!” says one, followed by another who says, “She does what she says she will do, and then so much more!”
Co-workers repeatedly stated — consistent with our Operational Integrity value — that they look to Jenny to fulfill the employee pledge to “do what is right because it is the right thing to do.”

Her influence reaches wide. “Jenny is the backbone of the life enrichment team in Southeastern WI,” writes one. “She has trained every single life enrichment director in our region in some way or another over her many years of service with PHS. Because of this, our team is tightly knit and built on a solid foundation of teamwork and collaboration.”
Jenny inspires them to the degree that they’ve developed a common saying around her. Instead of the popular acronym WWJD – also known as “What Would Jesus Do?” — they say WWJLD or “What Would Jenny Lehocky Do?” One explains, “We always ask ourselves what she would do when we are faced with a challenging situation or decision.”
Among residents, Jenny is just as popular. “Jenny makes me feel like I’m part of the Dickson Hollow family,” writes one female resident. “She is so full of energy, and it comes forth in some of the most ingenious ideas to keep everyone active.”

Reflecting on her CROSS award, Jenny says, “Wow, what a surprise it is! I am very humbled and honored to receive the award for Operational Integrity! We have such a great community here at Dickson Hollow and a wonderful team to work with that it makes my job easy and fun to do! I love the residents here and am so blessed to be a part of their everyday lives. I am very grateful to all who nominated me! Thank you!”

From all of us at PHS: thank you, Jenny, for leading with integrity and building up an entire regional team!
