Today we recognize Careers in Aging Week, which raises public awareness about the diverse careers available in the field of aging.
Here at Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS), we celebrate more than 7,100 employees pursuing diverse careers in everything from nursing to culinary to engineering, housekeeping, marketing, human resources and more!
Although their roles may differ, their goal is the same: to fulfill our mission to honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults.

An employee with dual roles in housekeeping and culinary writes, “At PHS our residents are our priority, but it is a wonderful thing when you are able to work under people who are so kind, supportive, understanding and encouraging. I love how we get all staff-members who are working each morning together for a few minutes to share any announcements, to read something encouraging, and then to pray together. It’s things like this that make working at PHS different. They also make an effort to make sure their employees know how much they are valued and appreciated.”
An LPN writes, “I’ve learned so many amazing nursing skills by some very awesome nurses! I enjoy the comradery with staff, and of course the residents are the real highlight of the day.”
Finally, a fitness instructor writes, “The residents, and the people I work with, all make this a great place to work!
